At EMS, we nurture every child through values-based teaching, innovative learning and disciplined mentorship — empowering them to discover their purpose, excel academically, and demonstrate strong moral character in school, at home and in society.
Three phrases in that sentence do the real work. Values-based teaching means character is taught with the curriculum, not after it. Innovative learning means we keep asking whether a lesson is actually landing. Disciplined mentorship means a child is guided by an adult who knows them by name.
We do what is right even when no one is watching. It is the value we test hardest, because it is the one a child carries furthest — into every exam hall, every friendship and every job they will ever hold.
We give our best effort in all we do. Not perfection, and not results for their own sake — the honest habit of finishing well, whether the task is a WAEC paper or a swept classroom.
We use our gifts to help others. Ability is given to be spent, so our students look outward: to the younger child, the new student, the neighbour and the community beyond our gate.
Character is not confined to a single lesson on the timetable. It shapes the rhythm of the day — beginning with devotion and prayer — and the way we treat one another, hold to our word, and carry ourselves.
The school was founded and is owned by a Christian family, and it is built on those convictions. Our students, however, come from Christian and Muslim homes in roughly equal number, and every child is welcome and respected here. What we ask of all of them is the same: integrity, excellence and service — ground that every home can stand on.
